Moon Water
What It Is
Water placed outside or on a windowsill overnight under the moon, then used intentionally.
Why It Helps
The practice connects you to lunar cycles and gives you a simple ritual ingredient. Whether the moon “charges” the water is debatable—but the act of paying attention to the moon and using something you prepared with care absolutely shifts your mindset.
What You Need
A clean jar or bowl, water (tap is fine), and a spot where moonlight can reach it.
How to Do It
Fill your container with water. Place it outside or on a windowsill where the moon will touch it. Speak an intention if you want: “This water carries peace” or “I’m open to what’s changing.” Leave it overnight. In the morning, use it to water plants, drink it, add it to tea, or use it in other rituals.
This Is Not Worship
It’s a mindfulness practice tied to celestial observation. People have collected dew and rainwater for practical and symbolic use for millennia.
Variations
Make it at the full moon for “fullness” energy or new moon for “beginning” energy. Add herbs or flowers to infuse. Label jars with dates to track lunar phases.
